Both inside and outside shoulders are closed with barrier wall on I 440 between Exit 4 (Wade Ave) and Exit 1 (I 40) and on US 1 between Exit 1 (I 40) and Exit 101 (Walnut Street).  This work is in place to widen I 440 to Six lanes and upgrade all interchanges.  Occasional traffic shifts, ramp closures, and night time lane closures will also occur through the life of the project.
