The closure is required in order to construct the detour needed for the future Kernersville Road bridge construction, which will eliminate the intersection of Kernersville Road/Old Winston Road/Oak Garden Church Road.  (Kernersville Road will remain open to traffic.)  Preparation work will take place over the next six weeks and construction of the detour is scheduled for April.
